ODIN

Operational Insight When It Matters Most

ODIN is an AI-enabled decision support and planning tool developed for U.S. Army Futures Command that operates during the execution phase of Army operations. Modern engagements generate massive volumes of battlefield data, placing an increasing cognitive burden on commanders and staff and slowing critical decisions. ODIN alleviates this burden by fusing real-time sensor data with digitized operational plans to deliver a continuously updated common operating picture. By providing clear visibility into friendly force posture, ISR coverage, resource consumption, and key decision points, ODIN enables commanders to understand operational impacts as they emerge and maintain tempo in dynamic environments.

ODIN’s modular microservices further enhance situational awareness and decision advantage. The Sensor Dark Area capability visualizes where ISR assets have collected information, and, critically, where gaps remain, supporting more effective reconnaissance planning. Running Adversary Estimation dynamically refines enemy location and classification by merging assumed positions with live intelligence, producing a more accurate and timely threat picture. By continuously comparing planned actions against evolving battlefield conditions, ODIN flags mission-threatening deviations and recommends updated courses of action in real time. This proactive decision support reduces risk to the force, accelerates response to the unexpected, and increases the speed and likelihood of mission success in contested and rapidly evolving battlespaces.
